Comedy Central is about to launch a rebranding campaign. Simple for sure, but I like it.
The network unveiled a dramatic new look yesterday set to launch officially in January — a “C” tucked inside an upside-down “C” that bears a striking resemblance to the copyright symbol, and seems simple, straight-laced, and otherwise everything that Comedy Central’s old logo was not. Faster than Colbert can raise a thumb, commenters on sites including the HuffPo, New York, and the brand-design blog UnderConsideration, started wailing: “Borrrring!”

An amazing wall by Blu in LA, and an even more amazing move by MOCA to buff it within 24 hours.
It raises interesting questions about Jeffrey Deitch’s influence and the much-hyped forthcoming ‘Art on the Streets’ show, as GOOD says:

This is crazy. Dentsu London created an interactive promotion for greentomatocars that uses lasers to sketch murals on buildings.
The film was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II and uses laser technology to trace transient green illustrations and murals across some of London’s darker corners. The technology was developed by Sensaa.
The Laser Graffiti is a camera and PC setup, tracking a green laser point across the face of a building and generating graphics based on the laser’s position. These graphics then get projected back onto the building with a high-power video projector to complete the illusion.
Chances are this has already been posted all over the web (most likely originally on iso50) but on the off chance you haven’t seen this then have a look at this collection of vintage logos from a mid-70’s edition of the book World of Logotypes. Great stuff.
